I’ve been absolutely terrified every moment of my life and I’ve never let it keep me from doing a single thing that I wanted to do.
— Georgia O’Keeffe
This quote came to me via day 25 of Lisa Sonora Beam’s Root 30 Day Journal Project.
I wrote it on this journal page (above), along with some stream of consciousness thoughts, and then I painted and collaged right over it – releasing fear. I do believe Georgia O’Keeffe had something when she coined this phrase.
I release fear became the first part of the intention I created for the Power of Intention Yoga Nidra class I am currently participating in. I repeat it every day, several times a day. Releasing fear is an ongoing process in the present moment of my life.
It’s not that I’m always feeling (consciously) afraid, but consciously releasing it helps me to find joy with where I am in life. It helps me to continue to do the things I want to do / be the me I want to be (Create, Play, Thrive, Inspire) even when life throws a curve ball (and it always does).
How does fear play a role in your life? Can you let go of fear so you can be the you that you want to be?
